IT’S OVER!

My exams are over, hurray!

Batam beckons in less than 12 hours and I should be asleep by now.

Before I leave, I wanted to blog about Jeffrey Campbell’s Spring Summer 2011 catalogue (been out for a few weeks now). Loving the spring-time colours, and small town Americana vibe I’m getting from this.

& their new PINK ROCK Collection is absolutely darling. I am obsessed with pink suede foxy-wood and the pink lita is starting to look very desirable as well!

Shoes In a Row

Literally. I had a great vantage point for a great shot, but didn’t want to whip out the camera for fear of being tsk-ed at by sales ladies. My general experience has taught me that ‘no photos’ generally apply in shops.

Rehab?

Y0u know, I’ve been thinking…I really am addicted to shoes. I think I need help, and I’ve found just the place. Just need a sponsor, anyone?

I think the first step is to make me so goddamn sick of shoes, I won’t even think of it again. The first thing to do would be to get these pairs.

I’m thinking that I should clear out some shoes.

I can think of 1 or 2 pairs of flats to clear out.

Any one with a shoe size of about 36-37?

Today was a good day in alot of ways. I had lunch with the girlfriends (hello, girlfriends!) at Shokudo and ordered the Mushroom Beef (Beef Mushroom?) burger. It was goooooood. The beef patty was thick and succulent.

A meeting and a work out later, I met up with the best friend to have dinner at KOP. Boy, was it packed with the TGIF (post work-week) crowd. Nonetheless, the ALL-DAY BREAKFAST made me excited. ‘The Works’- one thick slice of buttered toasted bread, one juicy grilled (I think) tomato, one small rostti, bacon and sunny side up eggs later, I was one UBER sated person.

But sorry, no pictures cause my phone ran out of batt.

Then we decided to take a walk. After resisting bling temptation at Forever 21, we went into Zara which was having its SALE! As usual, my eyes were stuck to the shoes, all the way to the shoe sale section, where lo and behold, I spotted my sexy curved heel Zara shoes I was obsessing over and desiring for CNY (which I could not afford the past 436956 times I went into Zara).

But guess what?

This time it was on sale! SGD99 from its original price of SGD200+; do the math, that’s more than 50% off!

A quick check on my bank account balance and I zoomed to the counter. These babies are now mine.

Does a Happy Dance. Cuddles them.

Bad News: Lost a pendant given to me as gift. I was gonna get a new necklace for it too. Grr.

I like the contrast of the sweet dress with the kickass gladiators. The back is bare, but didn’t have time to shoot the back. Tossed the cardigan on in school for decency sake.

Shoe Haul

Hello,

I am still Upset about the (now I’m sure) stolen camera & more importantly the pictures in it! Grrrrr. I know the whole experience & memories are more important, but memories fade and pictures serve as a fantastic physical capture of the moments. Alas, I have to satisfy myself with ‘refurbishing’ my photo album with ‘koped’/'grabbed’ pictures from my friends Facebook. I pray to God that they are as huge camwhores that I think they are and will have more than enough pictures capturing significant moments (like my jumps and poses at the Step Pyramids, Pyramids of Giza, especially the Great Pyramid & Luxor Temple & Karnak Temple in Egypt, and the breathtaking view from the mountain-top at Al Ain in UAE!).

In any case, in my search for photos, I stumbled across a fantastic shot of gorgeously beaded shoes and slippers that can be found in the Middle East.

I tried on a few myself, unfortunately my feet did not find them too comfortable & I was broke. Nonetheless, they are incredibly pretty to look at!

2. Shoessss

Visited the featured shoe store (in last week’s Urban).

In case you haven’t read it, its a little store at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, Blk 410.

They sell leather shoes at affordable prices.

Both pairs cost $29 each, but hurry fast! Sizes are running out, I’m a size 5 and didn’t have many design choices left.

But if you’re a size 3 or 4, good news all around for you!

It’s called Star Tech Management (I don’t understand the name either).

Haven’t broken them in yet. Feeling a little scared of blisters (it really does fit just right).

 

House of Holland Shoes?!

I thought all they did was slogan teeshirts. I’m impressed.

Reminds me of a cross between Chanel&Ann Demeulemeester though. The colour combi and straps perhaps?
