Fashion + Video
I’ve always loved the idea of fashion and videos. After all, nothing captures the movement of fabric and garment against and with the human body like it.
ASOS has always been a top shopping site of mine partly because they make shopping such an enjoyable process. There’s no need to keep guessing at how the garment might move, when there’s videos you can simply click and watch.
Net-a-porter has also done it with Matthew Williamson, for his capsule collection. It’s a sit-down interview, featuring his printed dresses, modelled quite fluidly and psychedelically. The peacock feather print white day dress is precious, indeed. I suppose what really works for this video is the fact that the dresses are flowy ones, so capturing them in motion (as opposed to the cocktail dress) was really an A+ idea.
I can’t embed, so click here to watch it at net-a-porter.
Happy Thursday!
Bad things today:
1. A midterm that went BLAH
2. In my rush out of the house, I forgot my laptop and am now using the school’s computer. Meh.
Good Things today:
1. A trip to a certain store that’s awesomium.
2. This Video
I guess this would be a pretty damn good analogy.
That IS, how much I love Shoes.
