LEOPARD

Posted in Fashion by thisisanexperiment on September 28, 2010

I confess I’m not a big fan of animal prints. I can never shake off the ‘tacky’ feeling that haunts me whenever I think of wearing it. No, it’s not really for me. Sure, it looks good on some people, but it can so easily go wrong.

Not with this lady.

Kudos to her for making animal print look chic, easy and light as air.

On a more personal note…

I am so glad to be taking a breather from school. Not that this breather will last long, but at least the pressure has eased up a little (for the next 1-2 hours). The past few days have been painfully stressed for me and a terrible time to fall prey to the flu virus.

I don’t know who reads this blog, but according to wordpress, there are people out there who do. Anyway, for all those suffering through midterms, hang in there, good luck and you are not alone!

In the mean time, my body needs rest, my medication is making me feel drowsy and I have to:

1. Submit my Ogilvy application :\

2. Read up on 1984 and Brave New World (which if you haven’t read, you should; they are good books!)

3. Submit my Unilever application.

Concuss Time.

Kick-Ass

If so, colour me impressed. She actually managed to layer and add bulk to her tiny frame, without overwhelming it.

I am actually at home on a Saturday, with no plans except to do my Exchange Application, scan in some documents, and doing my social psych readings. This makes me feel sad.

I tried to find Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2 online yesterday, but failed. Bah!

Because I am Lame

Posted in Fashion by thisisanexperiment on January 1, 2010

And because I am bored, I decided to do some uber early CNY planning/shopping.

Through my exciting journey, I stumbled across this very chic and very affordable hooded dress that I am DYING to play with already.

I put in an order for it, and I hope it’s not out of stock. It would go swell with the rings I already have, plus these additions:

I’m thinking my new Nine West booties would make an excellent finishing touch, albeit a slightly unauspicious-ish outfit.

Too Cute & The Colour of Sin

Posted in Fashion by thisisanexperiment on November 26, 2009

I’ve never really seen lace leggings/tights  (or any other kind of leggings/tights in general, asides from plain) pulled off well.

She, however, does it pretty well & looks precious

Next point: I have found out that there is no American Apparel in the Middle East/Egypt (GOSHDARNIT) but there is H&M and La Senza. Those 2 alone could kill me shopping. Lookie what I found on the H&M website. I suddenly know the colour of Sin- Red, Glorious Red. Come to Mama!

I am torn between indulging myself in my shopaholic dreamzzz and being somewhat moral. HOW MUCH MONEY SHOULD I CHANGE ?!?!?!

To compromise, I have promised myself to only buy a maximum of 2-3 pairs of shoes. And maybe throw in a couple of dresses…

I think that’s fair because I have been restricting myself- just last night I had a dream, I went shopping in a fabulous boutique with a long sleek black sales counter (I swear it was like 3m long) and I bought 2 items (one was a pair of fabulous shoes of course) and somehow, I did not check the price tag(s). The 2 items ended up bankrupting me. My dream ended with me being agog at my negative bank account balance.

I cannot tell if this dream is telling me to spend wisely or to indulge myself because it is OBVIOUS how my repressed desires are negatively affecting me even whilst I sleep. Right?

Guess who’s gonna have fun restricting me? HEEHEE.

Update

i am so uninspired

Posted in Fashion, Interest, Life by thisisanexperiment on October 19, 2009

I have been just reverting to unimaginative wear these days. Today, I put on my swing-dress and Dr Martens. Another dress-boot combi.

Tomorrow’s my Hell Day with a huge presentation I hope goes well- Going to wear my Alexander Wang inspired Zipper Dress.

Help me feel inspired, oh style.com

Celine’s Leather Shirt. Genius.

I think this is how my little red riding hood will look like. Plus the red cape/hood and red-dress of course.

Just a little devilish.

Black tights? Booties?

Or maybe this:

Now, what to do with my hair?

Shall I bunch up two ‘ponytails’?
